Bio

Born in Gibraltar, Andre Tjay de Barr signed for Wycombe in the summer of 2021, scoring a vital equaliser against Stevenage in a Carabao Cup tie, and gaining more first-team minutes on loan at Eastleigh.

The striker rose through the ranks of Lincoln Red Imps, progressing through their academy from 2013-16 and making 14 appearances as a first team player from 2015-18.

Tjay left the Imps to join fellow Gibraltar side Europa, where he would thoroughly impress after scoring 14 in 25 at the age of just 18. The pacey forward had a short spell in Spain with Real Oviedo B but opted to return to his boyhood club of Lincoln Red Imps, scoring three goals in 24 games and winning the title and domestic cup whilst doing so.

Before joining the Chairboys, de Barr scored twice and assisted twice in Champions League qualification for Lincoln Red Imps, before being allowed to switch to Gareth Ainsworth’s side after a successful trial in order to further his career.

He represents Gibraltar’s national team and scored his first international goal in November 2018 against Armenia in the UEFA Nations League, becoming the tournament's youngest goal scorer before Barcelona’s Ansu Fati broke his record at 17 in September 2020.

His first Wycombe goal was a memorable one, coming in the dying seconds of a Carabao Cup tie at Stevenage, before he went on to smash home the decisive penalty to set up a third round trip to Manchester City, and spent time on loan at Eastleigh later that season.
