Wycombe Wanderers Ex-Players Association will be playing their part on Community Day by proudly handing out funds raised for their nominated charity of 2025 - Thames Valley Air Ambulance - ahead of the game against Peterborough United at Adams Park on Saturday, where tickets are just £10 for adults and £5 for under-17s.

The presentation of a £3,000 cheque takes the total donated to charity by the Ex-Players Association since its formation in 2009 to over £50,000, with good causes like Marie Curie, Scannappeal, Alzheimer’s Association, Prostate Cancer UK, Amersham Stroke Unit, Thames Valley Hospice, WW Foundation Winter Hubs and the John Reardon Room at Adams Park all benefitting, along with dozens of smaller local appeals, as well as significant sums passed on to the club themselves for training equipment.

The Air Ambulance is particularly deserving, remembering they were called out over 3,000 times to help people across Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Bucks and beyond in the past year alone. One in five people within our region knows someone who has been treated by them when their life was at risk. They were called out to 1,230 cardiac arrests alone, making it the most frequent type of call out for the sixth year running.

The Association are delighted that every penny raised goes to someone special, and their next worthy major charity recipient will be unveiled very shortly.
