Wycombe Wanderers are keen to recruit an innovative content creator to join the media and marketing operations.
The role will involve creating primarily design and video assets to support the business needs of each department of the football club, while also contributing to other roles within the media team including written material, social media and website management, and contributing to the wide-ranging ongoing media and marketing projects.
The right candidate will be creative, skilled at graphic design and video editing, and carry a desire to work hard and succeed in the role, working collaboratively with each department to help achieve their targets through the supply of visual marketing assets.
Job title: DIGITAL CONTENT EXECUTIVE
Salary: Up to £22,500 per annum, depending on experience
Type: Full-time, permanent, including matchdays and events (time off in lieu will be provided for matchdays and events worked)
Based: Adams Park, High Wycombe
Duties of the role:
- Take overall responsibility for the creation of video and design assets to support the club’s media and marketing output, including but not limited to:
- Video content for WanderersTV and social media channels
- Graphic design for the club’s commercial, ticketing, retail and events departments
- Lead on a project to enhance the club’s visual identity by creating a brand guideline pack in line with the club’s core values
- Play an active role in developing the club’s profile and appeal, both locally and internationally, in line with the club’s core message and values
- Contribute to copywriting, management of the website, app and social media platforms
- Attending fixtures and events to assist with content creation
- Covering certain roles carried out by the Head of Media and Marketing and/or the Head of Audio and Broadcast when required (full training will be given)
Person specification:
Essential
- Strong experience and knowledge of design and video editing software, preferably the Adobe Suite
- Confident and creative style in video and design work
- Energetic, enthusiastic and positive attitude, and willingness to learn
- Understanding of brand management and ability to adhere to the club’s core message and values
- Ability to cope under pressure and work to tight deadlines (due to the nature of the business, a flexible attitude to unsociable hours will be necessary in order to perform the role effectively)
- Due to the nature of the position, the successful candidate should be able to demonstrate confidentiality at all times
Desired
- Copywriting skills, with a particular eye for detail for accuracy
- Proficiency in social media management
- An interest in football
- Previous experience of working in a professional sporting environment
- Full driving licence
Team:
- The role will sit within the media and marketing department, reporting to the Head of Media and Marketing, and working most closely with the Head of Audio and Broadcast on video content for WanderersTV, and with the Marketing Executive who is responsible for the coordination and delivery of the club’s wide-ranging marketing campaigns.
