Striker leaves Adams Park after five-year spell.

Scott Kashket has left Wycombe Wanderers by mutual consent to enable him to sign for a new team ahead of the transfer deadline on Tuesday night.

The striker arrived at Adams Park in August 2016 and exploded onto the scene in his first season, scoring 16 times and winning the Sky Bet League 2 Player of the Month for November.

He battled back from a serious injury to play an important part in the run-in during the club's successful bid for promotion the following year, and contributed more key goals in two seasons in League 1 as he continued his upward progress with the Chairboys into the Championship.

Kashket netted the club's first ever goal in the second tier against Millwall in October 2020, but has found first-team opportunities limited in recent months and will now pursue a new adventure elsewhere.

Everyone at Wycombe Wanderers thanks Scott for his efforts and wishes him every success for the future. Gareth Ainsworth will give his thoughts on Scott's tenure in his post-match interview following the Papa John's Trophy match against Aston Villa under-21s on Tuesday.
