Right-back pens extended contract.
Jack Grimmer has penned a new three-year deal to keep him at Adams Park until 2023, following a spectacular first campaign with the Chairboys.
The right-back arrived on a free transfer last summer on an initial two-year contract, and played his part in the club’s greatest ever season, appearing 24 times – and being on the losing side just once in league fixtures – as the Blues went on to win promotion to the Championship.
Boss Gareth Ainsworth said: “As soon as we knew Jack was available last summer we moved quickly to bring him to the club and he’s proven to be a fantastic acquisition with his performances on the pitch and his brilliant character in the changing room.
“He was absolutely flying before picking up an injury before Christmas, but returned for the play-offs and put in three magnificent performances – particularly in the final.
“Keeping him at Adams Park for another three years is great news for us and I’m really pleased that he’s committed his future to Wycombe Wanderers.”
Scotsman Grimmer, 26 years old, started out with Aberdeen before moving to Fulham, and enjoyed loan spells with Port Vale and Shrewsbury prior to a switch to Coventry, with whom he enjoyed promotion success from League 2 in 2018.
Jack will wear squad number 2 for the forthcoming Championship season; an interview with Jack will follow later this week.
